About Narrowboat
Right by the water's edge on Regent's Canal, we've been serving Islington locals and visitors since we first opened our doors at The Narrowboat. Our three floors give you different ways to enjoy the canal views - from watching the boats drift past on the ground floor to taking in the full waterway panorama from our top-floor windows. We're particularly proud of our Sunday roasts. Our kitchen team makes everything from scratch, and yes, those Yorkshire puddings are as big as they look in the photos. The gravy's proper too - rich and made with real pan juices. During the week, we serve British classics with our own spin, plus a solid range of vegan dishes because we know not everyone wants meat and two veg. When it comes to drinks, we keep our cask ales rotating and our craft beer selection fresh. The bar team makes a mean Bloody Mary that regulars swear by, especially during weekend brunches. We've got wines to suit most tastes and budgets too. For parties and events, we've got three distinct spaces. The Starboard sits up top with those canal views I mentioned - it's semi-private and works brilliantly for birthday parties. The Stern on the ground floor opens right onto the canal towpath, which guests love in summer. Then there's the Lower Deck with its own bar, perfect when you want your group to have their own space without hiring the whole pub. Thursday quiz nights pack the place out - arrive early if you want a table. We host everything from wedding receptions to work parties, and our events team knows how to keep things running smoothly whether you've got 20 guests or 200.
