About Pasta Laboratory
We've transformed the back of Bath's Richmond Arms into something quite special—a working pasta kitchen where flour-dusted tables and rolling pins aren't just for show. Our space sits behind the pub on one of the UK's oldest unbroken Georgian terraces, where up to 30 guests can gather around our prep stations for hands-on pasta classes, or we can host 60 for standing celebrations. The pub itself sets the scene perfectly, filled with curious antiques and local art that catch your eye between sips of True Story Brewery beers or glasses from our wine collection. But the real action happens when you step through to our sunlit kitchen-dining area, where we teach everything from cutting perfect tagliatelle ribbons to pinching tortelli closed just right. We always start with prosecco in hand—it helps with the nerves when you're rolling your first sheet of pasta dough. Our front garden has become famous as a suntrap, where guests spill out with cocktail pitchers during warmer months. The open kitchen adapts brilliantly for different occasions—we've hosted hen parties kneading dough together, corporate teams competing over who can make the longest tagliolini, and birthday celebrations where everyone ends up covered in flour. When MasterChef finalist Kasae Fraser joins us for special dining events, the whole space transforms into an intimate restaurant. Whether you're booking a team-building session, planning pre-wedding festivities, or just want somewhere different for your next party, we work with you to create the right atmosphere.
