About The Belmont Hotel, Leicester
Our Victorian hotel on New Walk has been welcoming guests since 1934, when my great-grandparents first opened the doors. We've kept the original character of the building while updating everything that matters for today's meetings and celebrations. The Rose Suite remains our most requested space for weddings. With its high ceilings and natural light, we can seat 110 for your wedding breakfast or fit 200 guests for evening receptions. Many couples love how the period features create instant atmosphere without needing much decoration. Our chef David Ferguson works directly with local suppliers, so whether you're planning a three-course wedding menu or conference catering, everything comes fresh from nearby farms. For business meetings, we have eight dedicated rooms split between the main hotel and our Orchard Building. The newer Orchard spaces work particularly well for training sessions - they're bright, modern, and away from the main hotel bustle. Each room has proper AV equipment and reliable Wi-Fi that actually works when you need it. We've hosted everything from two-person interviews to 50-delegate conferences. Jamie's Bar connects to our main meeting spaces, which proves handy for networking breaks or pre-wedding drinks. The 74 bedrooms upstairs each have their own character - some with original fireplaces, others with views over New Walk's tree-lined paths. Every room includes the essentials: private bathrooms, decent TVs, and proper desks if you need to work. Previous guests often mention our team's helpfulness and how the building offers something different from chain hotels. We're a five-minute walk from Leicester station, with our own car park behind the building. The city centre shops and restaurants are close enough to explore during breaks, but New Walk itself stays peaceful.

I would recommend the Belmont Leicester as a meeting venue, its a charming hotel with excellent facilities and lovely staff. the room was perfect and very good value.
