About The Blue Orange Theatre
The Blue Orange Theatre transforms from performance space to meeting venue throughout the week, offering three distinct areas in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Since 2011, we've been hosting everything from board meetings to birthday celebrations alongside our regular theatrical productions. Our 100-seat auditorium works brilliantly for presentations and speaker events. The tiered seating gives everyone clear sightlines to our large projection screen, and we've hosted AGMs, company summits, and training sessions here. The space retains its theatrical character while functioning perfectly as a professional meeting venue. Just steps from the Jewellery Quarter train station and local bus routes, getting here is straightforward, and we're fully wheelchair accessible throughout. For workshops or creative meetings, our 10m x 8m studio offers something different. The mirror wall makes it particularly popular with movement-based sessions, though we've seen it used for everything from team brainstorming to small group training. The natural light and wooden floors create an energizing workspace away from typical office environments. Our bar area has become a favorite for informal gatherings. With its mix of wooden furniture, soft cushions, and plenty of greenery, it feels more like a friend's living room than a corporate venue. We regularly host after-work drinks, birthday parties, and networking events here. The space opens directly onto our main foyer, making it easy to combine with other areas for larger events. As a working theatre, we understand event logistics. Our technical team can support presentations with lighting and sound, while our bar staff handle refreshments. We've learned what works from producing our own shows and comedy nights - that knowledge helps us support your corporate functions and private celebrations with the same attention to detail.
