About The Corinthian Club
The original bank vault door still guards our entrance at 191 Ingram Street, though these days we're protecting something rather different than gold bars. Built in 1842 as the Glasgow & Ship Bank, our Grade A listed building has traded courtroom gavels for cocktail shakers, and the old judiciary chambers now host everything from intimate wedding ceremonies to corporate presentations. Five floors wind through what we consider Glasgow's most dramatic venue. Our centerpiece remains the 26-foot glass dome in Teller's Bar & Brasserie, where original plasterwork frames your dining experience – whether that's a steak dinner for two or a champagne brunch for twenty. The former banking hall's soaring ceilings create an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else in Merchant City. Charlie Parker's Piano Bar occupies what used to be the judges' retiring rooms, now filled with jazz instead of jurisprudence. The Club nightclub pulses where clerks once filed papers, while our Fettercairn rooftop terrace offers views across Glasgow that the Victorian bankers could only dream of. Each of our private event rooms tells its own story through preserved architectural details – perfect backdrops for fashion shows, product launches, or board meetings that need more than just four walls. We've kept the grandeur but added the essentials modern events demand: high-speed Wi-Fi reaches every corner, professional audio-visual equipment stands ready in each space, and our events team knows these historic rooms inside out. Getting here couldn't be easier with Queen Street Station just minutes away and plenty of parking nearby. From wedding receptions under our glass dome to corporate conferences in our wood-paneled meeting rooms, we've hosted them all since our restoration in 1999. The building may have won awards for its architecture, but we're more proud of the memories created within these walls.
