The first thing people notice when they walk into Vagabond Birmingham is our living tree - yes, a real tree growing right inside our bar at 92-98 Colmore Row. We've built our space around this natural centerpiece, creating an urban wine experience that's unlike anywhere else in the city center. Our self-pour wine machines are the heart of what we do. With over 100 wines available by the glass, guests control their own tasting journey - whether that's sampling a rare Burgundy in 25ml measures or settling in with a full glass of their favorite Rioja. The machines line our walls, each displaying tasting notes and allowing people to explore at their own pace without waiting for service. Beyond the main bar area, we have our secret vault downstairs. This intimate space works brilliantly for wine tastings and private parties - the original bank vault doors still frame the entrance. We can accommodate up to 180 guests across our different spaces, from the buzzing ground floor to the more secluded vault area. Our kitchen serves seasonal small plates designed to complement the wines. The grilled Galician octopus and spinach ricotta arancini are particularly popular during events, along with our sharing boards that keep groups well-fed while they explore different wine regions. We also run structured experiences like our Artisan Cheese & Wine sessions and Introductory Wine Masterclasses for those wanting guided tastings. Being just five minutes from New Street Station means we're easy to reach, whether you're planning after-work drinks, a birthday celebration, or a full venue hire.
