Our upstairs room has become Barnes' favourite spot for milestone celebrations since we opened in 2021. Walk up our original wooden staircase and you'll find yourself in a warm, welcoming space where natural light streams through large windows dressed with soft purple drapes. The room comfortably hosts 75 standing guests or 36 seated around our light wooden tables. We've arranged everything here, from long communal tables for wedding receptions to intimate separate settings for 60th birthday dinners. The soothing green walls showcase local artwork, while our original fireplace creates that perfect focal point for toasts and speeches. What makes our upstairs special is its flexibility. Last month we hosted a corporate quiz night using our projector and PA system, then transformed the space the following evening for an engagement party with the private bar serving craft cocktails. The wooden floors and eclectic pendant lighting create just the right atmosphere whether you're planning a relaxed Sunday lunch gathering or a lively Friday night celebration. Executive Chef Riccardo Rizzo creates seasonal menus that work brilliantly for groups, with our flame-fired rotisserie options proving particularly popular for larger parties. We always include plant-based dishes alongside our meat and fish specialties, ensuring everyone's well fed. The private bar stocks everything from cask ales to fine wines, and we'll help you select drinks that match your event perfectly. Air conditioning keeps the space comfortable year-round, while charging points and Wi-Fi throughout mean your guests stay connected. The room opens directly onto our lantern-lit garden terrace during summer months, giving your party that extra dimension.
