The Red Room Deep plum walls and maritime artifacts set the scene in our Red Room, where naval history meets contemporary comfort. This semi-private space works brilliantly for those smaller celebrations that need something more special than a corner table but don't require the whole pub. We've kept the original open fireplace, which crackles away during winter months and gives the room that proper British pub feel our guests love. The space itself is wonderfully flexible. We can set up two long parallel tables for 20 guests when you want that communal dining experience, or clear the furniture for standing receptions up to 25. Large windows flood the room with natural light during daytime events, while evenings take on a more intimate atmosphere with our warm lighting reflecting off the polished glassware and crisp white linens we provide. Our walls tell stories through carefully curated historical photographs and maritime pieces, each one genuine and connected to the area's naval past. The large mirror above the fireplace opens up the space beautifully, while wooden chairs and traditional pub benches keep things comfortable without losing that authentic feel. For corporate gatherings, we've installed all the modern touches you need, including Wi-Fi throughout and a flatscreen TV for presentations. The acoustics work well for both lively birthday parties and more formal business lunches, with enough separation from the main pub to give you privacy without feeling cut off from the atmosphere. Being just minutes from Blackwall DLR and about 10 minutes from Canary Wharf makes us incredibly accessible for Docklands events. Our kitchen serves up proper British fare with seasonal menus, and we're happy to accommodate dietary requirements including vegan and gluten-free options.
