The Barrel Cellar Room sits beneath centuries-old brick archways where port barrels once aged in darkness. We've kept the original stonework exposed, its curves creating natural alcoves that frame your celebrations perfectly. Red chairs pop against white tablecloths along our banquet tables, while candlelight flickers across the brick, casting shadows that dance between vintage port posters on the walls. This was once the heart of our cellars, where temperature stayed constant year-round to protect precious vintages. Now it's where birthday parties spill into the stone corners, where wedding parties raise glasses beneath the arches, and where company celebrations flow from cocktails to Portuguese feasts. We can arrange the space for 54 seated around our long tables, perfect for those dinners where conversation flows as freely as the wine. For cocktail parties, we clear the centre and welcome up to 100 guests who mingle between the historic walls. Our kitchen sends down plates of salt cod fritters and flame-grilled chouriço, while the bar team mixes Sandeman Sours using ports from our extensive collection. The acoustics work beautifully here, the brick naturally softening voices so your speeches carry without echo.
