Our garden has become the surprise favourite for summer celebrations, where 700 square feet of greenery creates an unexpected oasis just off Bedford Hill. Pink chairs dot the space between wooden ones, all arranged around tables dressed in playful polka-dotted cloths that catch the breeze on warm afternoons. The brick walls climb high enough to muffle city sounds while climbing plants soften every corner. We've watched birthday parties stretch into twilight here, with 30 guests filling the space perfectly, conversations flowing between tables as naturally as the ivy grows along our walls. Those large umbrellas aren't just practical, they create intimate pockets where small groups gather over drinks while others spill onto the open areas when dancing starts. Your guests find us easily, walking from Balham tube and train stations in minutes, or wandering over from Clapham South and Wandsworth Common. The garden transforms throughout the day, bright and energetic for afternoon gatherings, then shifting to something more magical as evening arrives and fairy lights begin their work. We've hosted everything here from casual summer parties where barefoot children chase bubbles between tables, to sophisticated cocktail evenings where the greenery provides a natural backdrop for celebration. Small exhibitions work brilliantly too, with artwork propped against the brick walls catching different light as the sun moves across our patch of sky. The layout encourages movement, with pathways between seating areas that invite guests to circulate naturally. When parties book our vegan catering, plates travel easily from our kitchen through to the garden, though external caterers navigate the space just as smoothly. This outdoor room remains our most requested space from May through September, when London weather cooperates and the garden shows its full personality.
