The River Room sits on the first floor of our building, its oak-panelled walls telling stories from when this space served as the Ladies' Lounge of the National Liberal Club. Those original panels, combined with 6.45-metre-high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, create an atmosphere that works brilliantly for both corporate receptions and celebration dinners. From here, your guests will watch the Thames flow past while the London Eye slowly turns against the sky. We find the changing light throughout the day transforms the room completely, morning sunshine bouncing off the river creates perfect conditions for champagne brunches, while evening brings a golden glow ideal for cocktail parties. The rich red drapes frame these views beautifully, and our chandeliers cast warm light across the space once darkness falls. We can arrange the River Room to suit your specific needs. For corporate presentations, we set theatre-style seating for 70, with our AV technicians ensuring your content displays perfectly on our modern equipment. Board meetings work well here too, with space for 26 around our polished tables. When it comes to celebrations, we welcome up to 80 guests for standing receptions or seat 72 comfortably for dinner service. The cabaret layout proves particularly popular for awards ceremonies, accommodating 50 guests at round tables. Our location in Whitehall means your guests can arrive easily from anywhere in London. Westminster and Embankment stations are both within walking distance, and taxis can pull up directly outside.
