The Map Room opens straight onto the buzz of our main bar, yet feels like its own world once you step inside. We've kept the original dark wood paneling that gives this space its character, paired with vintage-style bar lamps that cast just the right glow across the polished counter. It's the kind of room where conversations flow as easily as the drinks. We can arrange the space for 80 guests if you're after that cocktail party atmosphere where people naturally drift between the bar and the open wooden floors. For sit-down celebrations, we set up for 50, giving everyone proper elbow room while keeping that intimate feel. The layout really comes into its own when the lights dim and those wooden floors become an impromptu dance floor, something that happens more often than we'd originally planned. The artwork on our walls tells stories of Balham through the decades, while the plush drapery softens the acoustics just enough that you can hear your own party without losing the energy from the main pub.
