About Bush Theatre
The Bush Theatre brings together Victorian grandeur and contemporary creativity in our restored library building, just steps from Shepherd's Bush Green. We've transformed this historic space into four distinct venues that work brilliantly for parties, receptions, and celebrations of all kinds. Our Alen-Buckley Script Library makes an extraordinary party space, with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves creating an intimate atmosphere for up to 60 guests. The warm lighting transforms beautifully in the evening, and we've hosted everything from birthday celebrations to cocktail receptions here. The Attic floods with natural light through skylighted ceilings, and when you need to set a different mood, the blackout blinds give you complete control. It holds 60 people and works wonderfully for daytime gatherings or evening celebrations. The ground-floor Studio opens directly onto our garden terrace through high windows, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that party guests love. With space for 80 people, it's become a favorite for summer parties and drinks receptions. Our largest space, the Holloway Theatre, transforms from a 250-person standing reception venue into more intimate configurations depending on your needs. We've seen it host product launches, award ceremonies, and wedding receptions with equal success. Every event benefits from our Library Bar and Café, where guests can grab drinks between spaces, and our garden terrace offers a peaceful escape from the energy inside. We're home to the UK's largest public theatre reference library, adding unexpected character to any gathering. Getting here couldn't be easier - both Shepherd's Bush Market and Shepherd's Bush stations are just a short walk away.
