Step through the heavy wooden doors of Harbour House and you'll find yourself in Bristol's most atmospheric party venue—a restored 19th-century transit shed that once stored cargo from ships docking at the floating harbour. We've kept the best bits of our industrial past: those soaring vaulted wooden ceilings and original ironwork create a backdrop that gets people talking before they've even ordered their first drink. Our main restaurant fits 120 guests comfortably, but we regularly transform the entire space for parties up to 200 people. The award-winning bar stretches along one side, where our bartenders craft cocktails using Bristol spirits and pour local craft beers that showcase what the Southwest does best. We're particularly proud of our British sparkling wine collection—we call them "Britz"—which always gets celebrations off to a proper start. The real showstopper is our waterfront terrace overlooking the River Avon. When the weather cooperates, we open up the doors and your party flows seamlessly between inside and out, with guests naturally gravitating towards the water views. Our kitchen team works with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, turning out crowd-pleasers like our famous seafood linguine and kedgeree arancini alongside heartier meat dishes that keep everyone well-fed throughout the night. We handle everything from milestone birthdays and wedding receptions to company parties and product launches. The space works just as well for an intimate gathering of 30 as it does for a full venue takeover. We're dog-friendly too, and have highchairs and baby-changing facilities for guests with little ones. Our events team knows these old walls inside out and can help configure the space to match your vision, whether that's long banquet tables, cocktail-style mingling, or a mix of both.
