About The Admiral's House
The Admiral's House stands proud as the oldest building within the Old Royal Naval College, commissioned by Charles II back in 1660. When you step through our doors on King William Walk in Greenwich, you're entering a piece of history that we've carefully adapted for modern celebrations and gatherings. Our five distinct rooms each tell their own story through original wooden paneling and those remarkable double-height ceilings that flood the space with Thames-reflected light. The Hawksmoor Room works beautifully for intimate dinner parties of 18 or cocktail receptions for 25. Need something larger? The Hardwick Room welcomes up to 70 guests for standing receptions or seats 60 comfortably for dinner. We find the Webb and Wren Rooms, both accommodating 50-60 guests, strike that perfect balance for birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, or corporate entertaining. The Kay Room offers a more personal setting for groups of 10-15. What makes parties here special is the exclusivity – when you book with us, the space is entirely yours. No wandering tourists, no shared facilities. Just you, your guests, and those spectacular river views. Company of Cooks handle all our catering, though we do offer dry hire if you prefer your own arrangements. The building's 17th-century bones mean we've kept many original features, including the staircases to our first floor (no lift access, we should mention). Whether you're planning a milestone birthday banquet, a sophisticated cocktail reception, or even transforming our spaces for corporate networking events, we can accommodate up to 90 guests across the entire house.
