About The Foundling Museum
Walking through our Grade II-listed Georgian building in Bloomsbury, you'll find yourself surrounded by one of London's finest collections of 18th-century art and architecture. The Foundling Museum offers something quite different for dining, meetings, parties, and weddings - we've carefully preserved our historic rooms while creating contemporary spaces that actually work for modern events. Our Court Room features original Rococo plasterwork from the 1740s, with tall windows overlooking Brunswick Square. We can seat up to 40 guests here for dinner, and the Persian carpet and period artwork create an intimate atmosphere that works particularly well for private dining or wedding breakfasts. The adjoining Picture Gallery opens up possibilities for larger celebrations - we regularly host up to 110 seated guests here, with Hogarth paintings and 18th-century portraits watching over dinner service. For daytime meetings and corporate events, we've created two purpose-built studios. The Study Studio catches everyone's attention with Lemn Sissay's "Superman was a Foundling" mural - guests often spend their coffee breaks spotting Harry Potter, Cinderella, and other foundling characters worked into the design. The Clore Creative Studio, designed by Jestico & Whiles, provides a clean, contemporary space with full presentation capabilities. We work with approved caterers and bar suppliers who understand our building's requirements and can deliver everything from working lunches to five-course wedding dinners. The museum sits between King's Cross, Holborn, and Euston stations - about a five-minute walk from Russell Square tube. We're fully accessible with lift access to all floors, and yes, children are welcome at family celebrations. Event proceeds help fund our work supporting disadvantaged children today, continuing the museum's original charitable purpose. We can arrange private tours of the collection, including our Gerald Coke Handel Collection, as part of your booking.

Venue was good for a group presentation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not suitable for presentations that require dial in as there are no capabilities for audio conference. The museum was also locked after 5:30pm so it was confusing for latecomers and difficult to f...
